Prada, an Italian fashion house that provides the most fashionable clothes to the International fashion market, is the famous and the reputed fashion clothing brand accepted all over the world. Initially known as ‘Prada Brothers in Italy, Prada was founded by Mario Prada in 1913, in Milan and was later on taken over by his grand daughter Miuccia in 1978.

Originally, Prada mainly designed a huge variety of bags, trunks, suitcases and shoes that were further sold to two well known boutiques in Milan only, but later on the buyers from Europe and America increased Prada’s popularity. However, just like any other business, Prada too faced some problems like the suitcases that were designed by Prada were made from walrus skin and were not meant for traveling, and hence with such difficulties, Prada switched over to manufacture of trendiest handbags and other latest water proof leather accessories that gained huge popularity in no time.

In 1978, when Muiccia took over Prada from Mario Prada, her grandfather, it still designed, manufactured and supplied leather handbags and leather accessories to the International market soon after which Prada faced a huge financial crisis. Moreover, to add up to losses Prada had to face a tough competition from the worlds major fashion industry in the market, Gucci. At this point of time Muiccia took a major turn and started to manufacture men and women designer clothes which were a huge success for the House of Prada. This decision has brought Prada to a position where everyone in the fashion world recognizes and appreciated Prada for its quality clothes and latest designs. Muiccia has set a history in the world of fashion industry due to her innovative skills and talent. She never ignored the fabric used in Prada clothing which is a major contribution towards her immense success
